This trio, Savannah in December I, II, III, respectively is a woven response to my experience of living, breathing, and working through the darkest month in Georgia. Each piece captures the stillness, weight, and quiet intensity of December; a time when the city feels both empty and full of possibility. Cold and vacant streets. Dark, lingering evenings. A loneliness that carves space for reflection and creation.

Through materiality, texture, and structure, these woven works embody the contrast between isolation and productivity, the hush of winter nights, and the muted glow of light against shadow. Woven into each piece is the rhythm of the season, the slowing down, the waiting, the internal drive that surfaces in solitude.
